As the gap between academic study and the practical working environment widens in South Africa, there has been an increasing demand for work-readiness training programmes to smoothly transition graduates from straight out of university into their first paid job. Many South African corporates have identified the need for work-related skills such as professional conduct, professional writing, emails, presentation skills and even basic handling of personal finances. Kerry Kopke, the director of Attune, has developed a training programme to address these concerns and prepare the graduates for work readiness through extensive testing in the non-profit sector over the last four years.
